Inpatient Services:

Inpatient Physical Therapy at MMH is geared towards maximizing independence with transfers, walking, and negotiating stairs, as well as improving balance and strength. All treatments are focused on safely returning to home or for continued rehabilitation.
Treatments are provided at the bedside, and are available 7 days/week, based upon the assessment of the physical therapist.

Our therapists work closely with patients, nurses, doctors, case managers and family members to develop the most appropriate and safe discharge plan.

Occupational Therapy services focus on promoting independence in activities of daily living such as grooming, feeding, dressing and homemaking tasks, as well as, improving range of motion, strength and addressing visual and cognitive deficits. Again, the goal is to return to home and community in safety.
Speech therapy focuses on improving swallowing, auditory comprehension, verbal expression and cognitive skills. The therapists set goals collaboratively with patients to improve functional communication and overall swallowing ability.
