What is the North Country Women’s Health Center?
The health center is a convenient place you can go to treat an illness, have a medical check up, or learn more about staying well. The word “Health” refers to what we do...keeping you healthy, and helping you when you’re not feeling your best. The focus of the center is to provide a continuum of care to women of all ages with a variety of health care concerns.
Who started the North Country Women’s Health Center?
Driven by the needs of the community to provide care to all women for female health care as well as other medical care in one location.
Women change throughout their lives and therefore, their health care needs vary as well. Massena Memorial Hospital and the North Country Women’s Health Center want to provide service for all women; to improve and maintain health by education, prevention and medical intervention when it’s needed.
What kind of healthcare will I find at the center?
You’ll find health care for women of all ages, from adolescence to your golden years; routine check-ups and treatment of chronic medical problems. Prenatal and gynecological care is available including routine/annual pap smear, breast examination with the convenience of mammography located at the hospital.
Who are the professionals at the health center?
You will be cared for by experienced health care professionals. The North Country Women’s Health Center is staffed by two OB/GYNs, Dr. Emmanuel Nwogu, and Dr. Jeffrey Greenberg, along with Certified Nurse Midwife Barbara Hillis, and License Practical Nurse sand professional office staff.
What insurance does the center accept?
The center accepts all insurances, such as Medicaid, PCAP, commercial insurance, as well as self-pay.
Do I need an appointment?
It is best if you call ahead for an appointment. The Women’s Center is clinic is available to see patients on weekdays.
Monday-Friday 8:30 am to 4:40 p.m.
