Employee Engagement Follow-Up Survey

To continue our momentum we are conducting another Employee Engagement Survey beginning December 4 and ending at midnight on December 17, 2016.  The survey can be accessed clicking on the link “Employee Engagement Survey”  below.

Employee Engagement Survey

Again, the survey is completely confidential.  If you need help accessing the survey, please call HR. This is our fourth biannual employee engagement survey. We conducted this survey in June and December of 2015 and June 2016.  Our participation rate has averaged 86% which represents approximately 302 (full-time and part-time) employees.  With the information gathered, we have identified several opportunities for improvement. 

We have focused our attention in the following areas over the last six months.

I have the materials/equipment that I need to do my work correctly.

This question has been incorporated into our employee rounding to find any tools or equipment that is needed to do your job we.

These rounding's resulted in great feedback which we were able to implement in areas throughout the hospital:

  • New printers have been purchased and installed; office furniture and chairs replaced in various departments
  • New headsets were purchased for the Billing Staff and Pre-registration staff 
  • PCs have been replaced where identified
  • New exam tables in some Outreach Clinics/Physician offices
  • Second status board in the Lab to help reduce turn around times
  • New carpet in lower level entrance and in outreach clinics
  • Minor equipment new and replacements throughout many departments such as birthing peanuts, traction machine, ice machines, privacy curtains
  • Walkie-Talkies purchased for Environmental Services for improved communication
  • Charge nurse rounding with hospitalist
  • New Med Carts on Med/Surg/Peds and soon to come, the Masimo Vital Sign machines.

These are just samples of great ideas staff members have shared with their directors. We are listening and trying to implement many department specific initiatives you identified as well.   Thank you for your participation!
