Employee Engagement Follow-Up Survey

To continue our momentum we are conducting another Employee Engagement Survey beginning November 6 and ending at midnight on November 24, 2017.  The survey can be accessed clicking on the link “Employee Engagement Survey”  below.

Again, the survey is completely confidential.  If you need help accessing the survey, please call Tina Corcoran, Sr. Dir. PR/Planning at 315-769-4305. This is our fifth employee engagement survey. We conducted this survey in June and December of 2015 and 2016.  Our participation rate has averaged 90% which represents approximately 350 (full-time and part-time) employees.  With the information gathered, we have identified several opportunities for improvement. 

We have focused our attention in the following areas over the last year.

Overall, I a satisfied with Massena Memorial Hospital as a place to work.

During 2017, you’ve shared ideas as to how we can make MMH a great place to work through our employee rounding, departmental meetings and Employee Forums. These rounding's resulted in great feedback which we were able to implement and invest in areas throughout the hospital:

  • Over 12 new physicians on boarded: Cardiology, OB/GYNs, General Surgery, EENT/Plastic Surgeon, Nephrology/Hypertension Specialist, Family and Internal Medicine, Hospitalist, ED and Anesthesiology

  • New MMH Website with health library and patient portal
  • New state-of-the-art technology

  • Developing a Zero Lift Program
  • Safe Hand off Initiative
  • Safety Huddle
  • Sepsis Protocals

These are just a sampling of the great accomplishments we have achieved together this year, many of these sparked by an employee suggestion. We are listening and trying to implement many department specific initiatives you identified as well.
