June 10, 2019

MMH's Certified Child Birth Educator, Snow Harper-Moulton, RN

Tender Touches Birthing Center at Massena Memorial Hospital is committed to providing patients with the highest quality care and preparing them for the arrival of their little ones. MMH’s Certified Child Birth Educator, Snow Harper-Moulton, RN, offers free Childbirth Preparation Series continuously throughout the year.

MMH’s Childbirth Preparation Series consist of five classes. Moulton holds each of these classes on Tuesday evenings from 7 pm to 9 pm in the Community Education Room on the Lower Level of the hospital. Moulton covers various topics, and the last session of every series is a breastfeeding class. The next series will begin on August 6, 2019, but others will start on October 1, 2019, and November 12, 2019.

Any expecting mother who is interested in MMH’s free Childbirth Preparation Classes should call (315)769-4249 to sign up. While it is recommended that a mom-to-be should sign up by 20 weeks of gestation, Moulton welcomes all expecting mothers to the classes. Mothers who are breastfeeding and would like some additional guidance and information are encouraged to attend the breastfeeding class at the end of each series as well.

Breastfeeding can be a challenging but highly rewarding journey for mothers and their babies, which is why Snow Harper-Moulton also facilitates a Breastfeeding Support Group. This group meets on the first Tuesday of every month from 10 am to 11:30 am at the New Testament Church Nursery, 265 Andrews Street, Massena. Pre-registration is not required for this support group; all interested moms should simply show up.
