On Thursday, May 23, Massena Memorial Hospital participated in the fifth annual Triad Fair, hosted by the Massena Triad and S.A.L.T. Council. The event was hosted at the Massena Community Center, 60 Beach Street, Massena. Along with free informational handouts and brochures, MMH staff  were on site to answer questions that community members may have had regarding services offered through the hospital, physicians on staff, the Patient Portal, as well as community support groups offered at the hospital. Free cholesterol screenings were also available, with thirty-six individuals choosing to participate.

Along with the handouts, Massena Memorial Hospital employees also gave away many “File of Life” Document Folders. A File of Life is intended to contain all pertinent information related to an individual’s medical history; including the most basic information like a preferred hospital, pharmacy, date of birth, religion, Health Care Proxy, Living Will on file and blood type. Additional information including in the File are recent surgeries, medical conditions and allergies, amongst many others.
