Crush that Tobacco Habit, Massena Memorial Hospital Offers Free Tobacco Cessation Workshop
You've done your homework, made your plan, tossed out all your cigarettes and now the big day is here. It's day one of your plan to quit smoking. You've probably heard that nicotine withdrawal is unpleasant and that most people need to quit several times before they reach their goal. But if you can make it through this first day and this first week, when nicotine withdrawal symptoms are at their worst, you will be on your way to success.
One of the most important things you can do right now is remind the people around you that today is the day you are quitting cigarettes or tobacco use and ask for their help. This might mean asking some people not to smoke around you, so that you aren't tempted to give in to a craving.
Massena Memorial Hospital is offering a free Tobacco Cessation workshop starting on Tuesday, June 6 at 4 p.m.
You’ve probably tried to quit a hundred times. But if you really want to quit smoking, try it with the “Quit 4 Life” program. Quitting smoking or using tobacco is the single most important thing you can do for your health. To crush that tobacco habit, join us.
The class meets the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month.
Dr. Beth Gero and Massena Memorial Hospital will kick off the new workshop, “Quit 4 Life”. The workshop will begin at 4:00 to 6:00 pm in the Lower Level Conference Room and learn how to “Quit 4 Life.”

• It might be easier to quit about 2 to 6 weeks before you plan to quit using tobacco for good.
