Care includes assessment, treatment, diagnostic evaluation, education, prevention and management of diseases of the lung such as asthma, emphysema, chronic bronchitis and pneumonia.  Interventions may be as simple as a deep breathing exercise or as complex as invasive mechanical ventilation (life support).
