First Baby of 2017 at MMH Announced

Massena Memorial Hospital has announced that Serenity Jade Johnson is the first baby born at the hospital in 2017. She was born on January 4th at 8:21 a.m. at Tender Touches Birthing Center. She is the daughter of Daniela Lavoie and Justin Johnson of Massena. She is the granddaughter of Monika Lavoie.
Serenity weighed six pounds, eight ounces, and 21 inches long at birth. Certified Nurse Midwife Barbara Hillis delivered Serenity. 
Serenity and her parents are the recipients of many gifts from the Massena community and the surrounding communities for being the first baby born for 2017. They received a valuable bundle of gifts and gift certificates from the following merchants and organizations:
